Speaking as a man, what a deceptively erotic photograph! I know that tumblr is a visual medium —and, God knows, I’m a visual person— but I don’t think I could be with a woman who didn’t feel some emotional connection with this image. Scent is a powerful component of our sexuality, of course, and knowing that Babygirl finds comfort in sleeping in one of my flannel shirts when we’re apart —because it’s soft and because it’s mine and because it smells like me— is absolutely galvanizing. Whatever comfort she finds in sleeping contentedly in my shirt is mirrored in the deep emotional bond I find in giving her that.
